Silver Heritage Group announces pair of key appointments

After fully opening its new Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa venue early last month, Asian casino operator Silver Heritage Group Limited has now reportedly announced a pair of strategic appointments to oversee the Nepalese property’s gaming and hotel operations. According to a report from GGRAsia, Friday saw Silver Heritage Group Limited name Kevin Willcocks to serve as Casino General Manager for the Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa while additionally revealing that Brett Model is to work as the new venue’s Hotel General Manager. Silver Heritage Group Limited, which is also responsible for the Phoenix International Club near Hanoi as well as The Millionaire’s Club and Casino inside Kathmandu’s Shangri La Hotel and Resort, reportedly stated that Willcocks has more than 30 years of experience managing casino operations around the world before explaining that he will now report directly to its Head of Casino Operations, Paul Simmons. Sydney-listed Silver Heritage Group Limited moreover reportedly declared that Model, who will now answer primarily to its Chief Executive Officer, Mike Bolsover, has previously been employed by enterprises in Vietnam, Macau and China but was most recently engaged to oversee hotel operations at the Golden Nugget Lake Charles in the southern American state of Louisiana. Established in 2003, Silver Heritage Group Limited spent approximately $52 million to build the new Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa, which is located only around seven miles from Nepal’s border with India and officially opened on January 1 featuring 100 hotel rooms alongside a 26,597 sq ft casino complete with some 216 slots alongside 44 gaming tables. The venue has reportedly been designed to appeal primarily to guests from the nearby Indian state of Uttar Pradesh with the operator hoping to hold an official grand opening ceremony on March 16.
